Diehl Aviation has been developing components for innovative, battery-powered aircraft (eVTOL) for several years. To vividly present this future technology at various events, a detailed model of the air taxi was produced on a smaller scale. Only using this model to present the complex functions and potential of eVTOL in a tangible way and to get potential customers excited about the possibilities of innovative air mobility was a challenge.
An interactive iPad application. With augmented reality, complex functions can be presented directly on the model through animations.
By visualizing topics such as data processing, air flows or lighting scenarios directly on the model, processes and functions are quickly and easily understood by the audience. The interactive presentation type with augmented reality allows the audience to interact with the eVTOL model - animations can be viewed from all sides, details can be discovered by approaching the model, or various configurations can be selected. Another benefit: The app makes it possible to select specific topics for specific target groups - this allows the interests of the audience to be addressed in a targeted manner.
